Hi all,
Maybe this is correct, but for me the important (or not more important) not is the soft, is the product ...
I want say, for me the important is the contents of 'portal' like sale cars, houses or ad's, produtcs, not the changes in the soft.
This little changes or adaptations into the 'portal' is only for the users; they can see differences between two systems with same product (phpClassified by example). We can change WITHOUT program code the style, templates, logos (of course), colours, and so....
If one day Are thinks to codify the code and the result of the program is good, I will continue buying it.
In another order the concept of 'open source' is very dangerous for this cases. The people thing OPen Source = software free. This is the problem, i thing...
This is only a point of view...

On the one hand the open source code allows you the benefit of people like myself and many others on the forum to help develop and debug your code without the need of employing other people and thus speeds up the process of getting an application into the market. On the other hand you are left wide open unscrupulous people who wish to take advantage of your ideas because they have no ideas or are unwilling to put in the enormous effort it takes to create complex and innovated applications. Encoding parts and allowing download and asking for free help from users only puts people like me off an application.
What can be done about it
